Thanks to the generosity of its donors, the Ami∙e∙s de l’Hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent Foundation has been able to improve and expand the services offered at the hospital by investing in the following areas:

Since its creation in 2009, the Foundation has purchased equipment and funded projects that have helped make the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital the hub of healthcare in Kent County. A big thank you to all our donors and community partners!

Cardiology Clinic

Opened in 2018, the cardiology clinic is a joint project of Les Ami∙e∙s de l’Hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent Foundation and the Vitalité Health Network. Thanks to the generosity of the people of Kent County, the Foundation was able to raise the $200,000 needed for this new permanent service in the region in just two months. The funds were used to purchase essential equipment for the clinic.

 

A major asset for the Kent region, the cardiology clinic has greatly reduced the number of patient trips to Moncton for cardiac care.

 

The Foundation continues to support the cardiology clinic.

Thanks to the success of previous campaigns, the Foundation has been able to purchase state-of-the-art equipment:
 

• A bladder scanner for emergency staff (2024)

• A sleeping chair for relatives of palliative care patients (2023)

• Four wheelchairs and a privacy panel for patients (2022)

• A bladder scanner, two beds and two mattresses for palliative care (2022)

• A blood transfusion chair for the emergency department

• Two palliative care beds and a therapeutic mattress for the Medical Unit

• A Shockwave machine for the physiotherapy department.
